Job Overview:
We are actively seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract in Utica, NY. This is a dynamic, high-volume ED environment offering exposure to a wide range of patient populations and cases.
Assignment Details:
- Contract Duration: 04/27/2026 – 07/25/2026
- Shift: Day Shift
- Hours: 8:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- On-Call: Not Required
- Facility: 64-bed Emergency Department
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Assess, triage, and treat patients across all age groups (newborn to geriatric)
- Manage critical cases including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
- Document accurately using Epic EMR
- Float to other units as required
- May assume charge nurse responsibilities (preferred)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of ED RN experience (with some pediatric experience)
- Active New York RN License (required at submission)
- Current certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- Travel experience required
- Strong clinical, triage, and critical care skills
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must include RTO (Requested Time Off) at submission
- Valid driver’s license with matching address
