Altro Paradiso is seeking a Host. 

From globally acclaimed chef Ignacio Mattos, Altro Paradiso is a recently Michelin-recommended Italian restaurant in the heart of SoHo and a staple of New York City dining. Since opening in 2016, it has built a loyal following of neighborhood regulars and returning travelers alike, offering regionally inspired Italian cooking in a vibrant, light-filled space.

Altro Paradiso is currently seeking a dedicated Host  to join our team. We are looking for someone who shares our deep appreciation for exceptional cuisine, values a collaborative and team-oriented approach to service, and thrives in the dynamic nature of this role.

Host is the first point of contact for our guests and works closely with Maitre D and management team to ensure that all guests have pleasurable dining experiences. Our ideal candidate has a gracious and accommodating approach that comes easily to them.

This position requires availability on nights and weekends
Requirements for Success

• Ability to maintain a pleasant demeanor and attitude that will foster a welcoming environment for our guests
• Desire and willingness to learn and grow
• Previous customer service experience
• Previous experience as a host
• Ability to clearly, calmly, and concisely communicate
• Experience using OpenTable or similar platform
• Ability to keep the flow of service
• Ability to work in fast paced environments

Guest Service

• Ensures all guests consistently receive courteous and efficient service
• Responds positively and promptly to customer concerns and complaints
• Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff
• Maintain a welcoming and orderly restaurant environment
• Builds relationships with repeat guests
