Emergency Department RN Job Details

• Location: Clifton Springs, NY 14432 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Emergency Department (Clinic Setting)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (locum tenens)
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1960 - $2010
• Patient Population: Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Charting System: Epic (Epic EMR experience required)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI (or equivalent), NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, TRUST, CPIM
• Proficiency with Epic charting system (required)
• Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from Clifton Springs, NY

Key Responsibilities for Emergency Department RN

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for patients with acute and chronic conditions
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide emergency interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Utilize advanced clinical equipment such as Glidescope, Lucas device, ultrasound-guided IV, and bladder scanner
• Accurately document all patient care in the Epic EMR system
• Participate in CPEP unit rotations for behavioral health crisis care
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
