Speech Therapist in Alden, NY

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is needed for a K-12 school setting located in Alden, NY. This contract position runs for the full school year, with a typical workday of 6.5 hours onsite, primarily serving elementary students across three school buildings but centralized at one location.

The caseload offers flexibility based on service levels, with an expectation of approximately 8 therapy sessions daily. The student population presents a variety of speech and language communication needs, including those requiring AAC support and physical impairments. Responsibilities include providing therapy, completing assessments, and managing cases for students receiving related services.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current New York State licensure or eligibility as an SLP
• Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of IEP processes, educational laws, and compliance standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
