ASSISTANT VILLAGE MANAGER, Village of Croton-on-Hudson, New York
Salary: $110,000–$130,000 DOQ

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson, NY is seeking a collaborative, organized, and highly motivated professional to serve as its next Assistant Village Manager. This newly reestablished leadership position works directly with the Village Manager on municipal operations, capital projects, procurement, communications, grants, public engagement, and strategic initiatives across a vibrant Hudson River community in Westchester County.

This role offers broad exposure to local government leadership and is ideal for a public administration professional seeking meaningful operational experience within a fast-paced and highly visible municipal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day municipal administration and operational coordination

• Prepare bids, contracts, resolutions, and procurement documents

• Coordinate assigned projects, grants, and special initiatives

• Support Board meetings, public communications, website, and social media management

• Serve as liaison to advisory committees, partner agencies, and community stakeholders

• Assist with parking operations, compliance reviews, and other operational assignments as directed by the Village Manager

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related field and five (5) years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree in Public Administration or related field and three (3) years of relevant experience

• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills

• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with elected officials, staff, residents, and external agencies

• Residency within Westchester County during employment required

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $110,000–$130,000 DOQ
