Summary of the Position:
The Rockefeller Center Concierge will report to the Director of Hospitality and be based in Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan. This role will work with our Property Management Office and will be responsible for overseeing office customer interactions, ensuring all requests are handled with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism. This role aims to provide exceptional service, fostering long-term relationships with our office customers by offering personalized recommendations and assistance with local attractions, dining, and events. The successful candidate will be organized, driven to achieve results, enjoy collaboration with multiple departments and have an innate passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain extensive knowledge of the Rockefeller Center campus, our dining destinations and retailers.
- Stay updated on New York City dining, shopping, and entertainment offerings, and establish contacts with vendors to provide information, ticketing, and reservations for office customers.
- Answer office customer questions about Rockefeller Center and the greater New York area, providing prompt and professional follow-up information.
- Personalize services and anticipate office customer requests.
- Make dining, theater, tour, travel, and other arrangements for office customers.
- Host VIP Tours for office customers and clients, displaying extensive familiarity with Rockefeller Center’s history
- Work in collaboration with the Property Management team to drive Customer Engagement.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude in all interactions with office customers, colleagues, and vendors, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Develop and maintain resources and contacts to ensure office customers receive current information on a variety of activities and events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of Concierge experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort or restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge of the local area, attractions, restaurants, and special exhibits.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions.
- Proficiency in operating computer equipment necessary for the job; knowledge of ALICE is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with other departments and communicate effectively with colleagues and office customers.
- Ability to handle problems effectively, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as necessary.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Comply with Tishman Speyer standards, policies, and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
Critical Competencies for Success:
- An aptitude for guest service, always seeking opportunities to provide an “above-and-beyond” experience, and able to manage difficult situations such as guest complaints.
- The willingness to adapt to a variety of customer service scenarios and operations.
- Exceptional leadership skills. Experience leading seasonal teams is a plus
The base compensation range for this role is $36/hour - $38/hour. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer’s New York team, as we’ve considered factors specific to this geography.
