Certified Nurses Aid Program Instructor - Part Time
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in accordance with the approved Nurse Assistant (Aide) curriculum and NYSED requirements
- Supervise students during clinical experiences at affiliated healthcare facilities
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to support student learning
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports
- Ensure compliance with NYSED regulations during instruction and clinical supervision
Education Required: Registered Professional Nurse (RN, Associate Degree or Higher) Experience Required: Minimum of two years of experience as a Nurse with one year working in a nursing home/long term care facility caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill; and must provide documentation of at least one of the following:
- Certified to teach nurse aide or practical nursing
- Hold a license as a trade school teacher of nurse aides
- Have three years of experience teaching nursing or nursing related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the Commissioner of Education
- Have three years of experience teaching nurse aides in residential health care facility
- Have completed a professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners
- Prior experience instructing nursing programs
