Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics (Inpatient Float Pool) Specialty: Pediatric Nursing Shift: Day Shift – 3x12 Hours (07:00 AM – 07:00 PM) Duration: 13 Weeks Desired Location: Syracuse, New York Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Inpatient Pediatric Float Pool role. The RN will provide high-quality care across multiple pediatric units, including support to behavioral health areas in a medical pediatric capacity (no psych responsibilities) .
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver comprehensive pediatric patient care in an acute care setting
- Float across multiple pediatric units and departments as needed
- Perform accurate patient assessments, planning, and interventions
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
- Maintain proper documentation using EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Active New York RN License
- Minimum 1.5–2 years of recent acute care pediatric experience
- Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center
- BLS Certification (required)
- EPIC EMR experience (preferred)
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
