Compensation: $145,000 – $165,000 base salary 10–20% bonus (flexible for the right candidate)
Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing corporate accounting functions, managing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with audit and debt requirements. This is a hands-on role working closely with the Senior Accountant and U.S. Controller, with exposure to an international finance team and a diverse portfolio of hospitality and real estate assets.
Responsibilities
Manage the month-end close process, including reviewing and posting journal entries, consolidating entries, and accruals.
Perform and review corporate balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain fixed asset registers and roll forwards.
Review hotel-level financial statements and reconciliations for accuracy, serving as the corporate point of contact for property-level finance teams.
Prepare consolidated and standalone financial statements for audits, tax, and group reporting.
Support annual audit processes by coordinating with external auditors and providing required information.
Monitor and forecast cash positions across corporate and hotel entities; recommend distributions and contributions to optimize cash flow.
Manage lender reporting, debt covenant compliance, and loan payments.
Prepare internal financial reporting, including monthly calculations and analysis.
Partner with the global finance team on consolidations, reporting, and capital expenditure tracking.
Support ad hoc projects, financial analysis, and process improvements as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
5 years of progressive accounting experience. Combination of Big 4/public accounting and industry experience in real estate, hospitality, or financial services preferred.
Strong knowledge of consolidations, financial statement preparation, and cash management.
Prior exposure to corporate debt compliance and lender reporting a plus.
Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, VBA, etc.).
Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently in a lean team environment.
Experience with NetSuite (preferred) or similar ERP systems.
