Monroe, NY Housekeeper
Private family in Monroe, NY is seeking an experienced, versatile, and personable Housekeeper to support the daily care and maintenance of their residence. The ideal candidate will be hospitality-minded, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong sense of professionalism and discretion. While the home is busy and dynamic, the environment is warm, welcoming, and not overly formal. The family values team players who take pride in their work, communicate clearly, and approach every task, big or small, with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform all aspects of general housekeeping and deep cleaning to maintain a pristine home environment
- Manage household organization, including closets, pantries, and storage areas
- Oversee laundry care, including washing, ironing, folding, and handling delicate garments
- Maintain wardrobe organization and assist with packing/unpacking for travel and seasonal transitions
- Procurement of household supplies and groceries, maintaining inventory and keeping detailed lists
- Run errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and deliveries
- Care for fine furnishings, antiques, and specialty surfaces (wood, marble, silver, glass, leather, etc.)
- Collaborate with additional household staff and vendors as needed
- Provide additional support and assistance as requested by the family
Requirements:
- Strong command of English language; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
- Minimum 3 - 5+ years of professional housekeeping experience in a private home or luxury hospitality setting
- Excellent references from current and former employers
- Strong command of English; clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Strong organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trustworthy, discreet, and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License and clean driving record REQUIRED
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Compensation: $ 100,000 - $120,000 per annum
