Job Duties: RFI response: The worker performs routine fast food service and support duties in both a commercial kitchen and at mobile food carts. The position includes taking customer orders, handling transactions, serving prepared meals, and assisting with cleaning and basic food-related tasks. Work is performed at assigned mobile food cart locations and the company’s commercial kitchen facility. At the mobile food cart, the worker sets up the cart at the beginning of the shift, stocks supplies, wipes down surfaces, and prepares the service area. Throughout the day, the worker greets customers, takes food orders, and operates a basic point-of-sale device to process transactions (typically credit/debit cards). Meals are handed directly to the customer once assembled. The worker ensures the front-of-house area is kept neat and sanitary, replaces utensils and packaging as needed, and maintains a polite and helpful customer service presence at all times. At the commercial kitchen, the worker supports food service operations by performing basic cleaning and preparation tasks. The worker may wash and sort vegetables, portion sauces, and carry trays to and from holding areas. No advanced cooking or recipe development is required. Daily responsibilities include restocking supplies and ingredients, assisting with the setup and breakdown of food service areas, and performing cleaning tasks such as wiping counters, washing utensils by hand, removing trash, and sweeping or mopping floors. The worker washes all pots, pans, and food service equipment used during the shift and ensures that all items are stored in a clean and orderly condition. Mobile carts and related food service equipment are washed, sanitized, and maintained according to health and safety standards. The company operates a licensed commercial kitchen, which handles the preparation and packaging of food, and a fleet of mobile food carts where final food service and customer interaction occurs. The kitchen is used for batch-cooking and assembly, while carts are used to reheat, grill, and serve food to the public. Workers may rotate between the kitchen and mobile carts based on scheduling needs. Equipment and tools used in this role include: basic point-of-sale devices, grills, warmers, utensils, knives, cutting boards, pans, pots, food trays, ladles, tongs, cleaning cloths, sanitation spray, gloves, trash bags, soap, and mop buckets. Workers are expected to follow clear instructions and food safety procedures at all times. Tasks are repetitive, clearly defined, and suited for entry-level fast food service workers. The worker does not engage in independent food planning or supervise others as a standard function of the job.
