We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Melville, New York. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and deep expertise in financial operations, particularly within a product-based company or manufacturer. This role offers a dynamic environment where you will oversee critical accounting functions and contribute to the company's strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial operations.

• Oversee month-end closing processes, including reconciliation and preparation of financial statements.

• Develop and implement budgeting strategies to align with organizational goals.

• Conduct financial planning and analysis to support decision-making and improve profitability.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions with a focus on process optimization.

• Supervise auditing processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Utilize accounting software systems, such as QuickBooks

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance CRM and reporting tools like Crystal Reports.

• Monitor and evaluate financial performance metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.

• Train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management within a product-based company.

• Proven leadership and management experience, including overseeing teams.

• Advanced skills in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting.

• Expertise in using Excel for complex financial modeling and reporting.
