Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Ad Sales Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for driving revenue by selling print and digital advertising to local businesses that align with Edible's mission. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for food, sustainability, and storytelling, as well as strong relationship-building and sales skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate new ad partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Develop and present tailored advertising packages, including print and digital.
- Provide clients with ad specifications and ensure they meet submission deadlines.
- Receive, review, and approve ad artwork to ensure it meets publication guidelines.
- Coordinate with the design team to adjust client-provided artwork if needed.
- Process advertiser contracts, ensuring clarity on terms, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Manage invoicing and payment tracking in collaboration with the finance team.
- Meet and exceed sales targets through strategic outreach and networking.
- Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to align advertising efforts with the magazine’s programs and content.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market opportunities.
- Track and report on sales performance, client feedback, and campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, advertising, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong communication, negotiation skills, and follow through.
- Knowledge of the local food and beverage industry.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Compensation: 25% commission earned upon ad payment
