Open Call
As the summer season comes to an end, Seppe is preparing for a busy fall into winter of corporate parties and large family gatherings alike!
We're looking to add Servers, Server's Assistants, Bartenders, and Hosts to our team. We will be holding open calls every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday between 2PM and 3PM at our Battery Park City location at 225 Murray Street, for the entire month of August.

Seppe is a contemporary neighborhood pizzeria that balances modern flair with cozy, classic touches. Curated to feel welcoming and unpretentious, where families and friends can relax and savor thoughtfully sourced, high‑quality food in a laid‑back setting. As a local joint, we’re all about providing our community with delicious, high-quality food through inclusive, genuine, and excellent service. We source ingredients locally, where available, and import only the best from Italy, such as pasta from our family hometown of Torre Annunziata.

Position: Server
Reports To: General Manager

Compensation: $17 per Hour + Tips

Overview
Servers at Seppe are the heart of the guest experience. This role is responsible for providing warm, informed, and attentive hospitality throughout each service. Servers must work collaboratively with team members and leadership to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for every guest, a deep knowledge of the menu and professionalism, efficiency, and care.
What You’ll Do
- Greet and engage guests with a welcoming, enthusiastic attitude.
- Guide guests through the menu, including specials, ingredients, and sourcing.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, confirming any allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Enter orders in the POS system using proper modifiers and coursing.
- Deliver food and beverages with appropriate mise en place and clear, informed descriptions.
- Maintain water service and table upkeep throughout the meal.
- Clear plates, bus, and reset tables in a timely and organized manner.
- Print, split, and close checks accurately and ensure all credit card slips are signed.
- Complete opening and closing side work, and assist with setup and breakdown of the dining room.
- Identify and communicate the presence of regulars or VIP guests to the team.
- Jump in to support hosts, runners, or fellow servers when needed to ensure smooth service.
- Support additional FOH projects as needed.
Who You Are
- 1–2 years of experience in a full-service restaurant, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about food, wine, beer, and cocktails.
- Friendly, poised, and professional in guest interactions.
- Excellent multitasker with a strong attention to detail.
- Able to work collaboratively with a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.

- Possessing New York City Food Handler Card preferred
- TIPS certified preferred
- Must be punctual and reliable

Overview
Bartenders at Seppe Pizza Bar are responsible for delivering warm, attentive service while preparing high-quality beverages in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role requires strong knowledge of classic cocktails, attention to detail, and a guest-first attitude. Bartenders are expected to follow established recipes, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and contribute to a positive front-of-house (FOH) culture.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency and care.
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service at the bar and to guests seated at tables.
- Follow all standard recipes and batching procedures to maintain consistency across shifts.
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked, prepped, and organized before, during, and after service.
- Keep the bar clean, sanitary, and safe, following all health code and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Assist with bar opening and closing duties, including restocking and cleaning.
- Engage with guests to answer questions, offer recommendations, and ensure an exceptional experience.
- Support inventory processes and communicate low stock or issues to the Head Bartender or manager.
- Uphold Seppe’s values of hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork during every shift.
- Support additional FOH projects as needed.
Who You Are
- 1–2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar.
- Strong knowledge of cocktail techniques, beer, and wine.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Calm and organized under pressure, with excellent multitasking skills.
- Friendly, team-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent guest service.
- Comfortable taking direction and open to feedback.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Overview
Front of House (FOH) Support team members are essential to the flow of service at Seppe. This role is cross-trained across multiple functions—food running, bussing, barbacking, and delivery packing—to ensure the front-of-house operates smoothly, efficiently, and with a high standard of care. Ideal candidates are fast, organized, and team-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a focus on hospitality behind the scenes.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver food to tables promptly and accurately, ensuring each dish is complete and well-presented.
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently, keeping the dining room clean and organized throughout service.
- Support servers by refilling water, resetting sections, and anticipating guest needs.
- Assist with polishing glassware, silverware, and plates before, during, and after service.
- Maintain clean and stocked service stations, including restrooms and guest-facing areas.
- Restock the bar with ice, glassware, garnishes, and supplies throughout the shift.
- Communicate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth timing and coordination.
- Carefully pack to-go and delivery orders, double-checking for accuracy, presentation, and order notes.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, cleaning, and restocking.
- Step in wherever needed to support the FOH team and maintain the flow of service.
- Support additional FOH projects as needed.

Overview
Hosts are the first and last impression of the Seppe dining experience. This role is responsible for welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism, managing reservations and walk-ins, and ensuring the dining room flows smoothly throughout service. Hosts must be calm under pressure, confident communicators, and thoughtful problem-solvers with a strong sense of hospitality.
What You’ll Do
- Greet all guests promptly, warmly, and with a sincere sense of hospitality.
- Oversee accuracy in reservations, waitlists, and walk-ins through Resy.
- Maintain an organized host stand and entrance area at all times.
- Communicate table status and estimated wait times clearly and accurately.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, water, or other initial touchpoints as needed.
- Coordinate closely with FOH management and service staff to ensure optimal pacing and seating.
- Identify and prioritize VIPs and regulars, and communicate with the team accordingly.
- Organize occasion cards and special guest notes to personalize the experience.
- Keep printed menus clean, stocked, and properly arranged for each service.
- Support pre-shift and post-shift setup, including cleaning and organizing front-of-house spaces.
- Actively assist with bussing, running food, or guest needs as needed.
- Support all FOH staff in duties on the floor, such as clearing tables, refilling water glasses, and guest needs.
- Support delivery and take-out service operations as needed.
- Support additional FOH projects as needed.
