About the Role: Our client is seeking a Property Accountant to support accounting operations and help ensure financial processes are accurate, consistent, and aligned with business needs. This individual will serve as a subject matter resource for accounting-related matters, partnering with internal teams to support process improvements, system enhancements, and operational activities.

The ideal candidate combines a strong accounting foundation with the ability to work cross-functionally, communicate effectively, and contribute to ongoing process optimization efforts. Must have property accounting experience, ideally with residential properties.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on accounting processes, transactions, and operational activities to support business functions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define business requirements and ensure accounting considerations are appropriately addressed
• Review financial calculations, adjustments, reconciliations, and transaction activity to promote accuracy and consistency
• Participate in testing and validation activities related to new processes, systems, or workflow enhancements
• Assist in developing documentation, procedures, and reference materials to support accounting operations
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen internal controls
• Support ongoing accounting projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Serve as a resource for stakeholders by providing accounting-related insights and recommendations

Experience:

• 4-5 years of accounting, financial reporting, property accounting, or related experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting processes, and general ledger activities
• Experience supporting operational teams and working across multiple stakeholders

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate business needs into practical accounting solutions
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, or business applications
• Familiarity with process improvement, system implementations, or workflow automation initiatives
• Exposure to technology-enabled business environments is a plus
