Senior Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for procuring electronic components, raw materials, and production supplies required to support manufacturing operations. This role works closely with production planning, engineering, quality, and suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and are purchased at the best overall value. The Buyer plays a key role in maintaining inventory levels, minimizing supply chain disruptions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience purchasing electronic components, PCBs, cable assemblies, or electromechanical products preferred.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Verbal and written communication skills.

salary: $95,000 - $125,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), mechanical parts, raw materials, and indirect supplies to support production requirements.
• Review material requirements generated through the ERP/MRP system and issue purchase orders accordingly.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance to ensure on-time deliveries and proactively resolve shortages or delays.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels while balancing production needs and inventory carrying costs.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and supplier agreements to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
