We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to support existing equipment and assembly projects. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting and assembling components to build unique, special-purpose machines and equipment. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of these systems.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites, both domestically and internationally, for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, services, and support.

• Collaborate with engineering and build teams to construct, debug, and commission custom automation equipment.

• Modify and optimize PLC, HMI, motion, robot, and vision systems.

• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and control systems.

• Support and/or lead factory acceptance and site acceptance testing.

• Respond to service calls, providing onsite and/or remote support.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems (such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens).

• Experience with robotics systems including Fanuc, ABB, and Kuka.

• Expertise in vision systems, particularly Cognex and Keyence.

• Familiarity with industrial networks like EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus.

• Capability in electrical panel building, field wiring, and pneumatics integration.

• Strong mechanical assembly, alignment, and troubleshooting skills.

• Integration experience with peripherals such as servo presses, leak testers, and laser systems.

• Industry certifications (Fanuc, Siemens, Keyence, etc.) are considered in lieu of experience.

Work Environment

The role requires up to 40% travel, both domestically and internationally, for machinery installation. The position involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted. The work environment is primarily indoors around moving mechanical parts with moderate noise levels, with occasional work outdoors in various weather conditions. Safety equipment and proper PPE are mandatory.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
