We are seeking a highly organized and detail-driven professional to oversee all accounting and finance operations for a busy, service-based company. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, tech-savvy, and experienced with QuickBooks and ServiceTitan. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, accountability, and clarity in all financial reporting while helping leadership make smart, data-driven decisions. You'll lead and develop a small accounting team, maintain clean books, and build better visibility into financial performance and job costing. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys both structure and problem-solving.
Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, billing, bank reconciliations, and the general ledger.

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Integrate operational and accounting data from ServiceTitan to QuickBooks; reconcile job cost and margin reports.

Develop internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures for efficiency and compliance.

Provide leadership, mentoring, and task oversight for a team of four accounting staff.

Produce clear, actionable monthly financial statements and dashboards.

Monitor KPIs for cash flow, job profitability, and operational performance.

Collaborate with management to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.

Coordinate with tax preparers, auditors, and banks as needed.

Continuously identify opportunities to streamline systems, reduce errors, and improve reporting clarity.
Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership.

Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and ServiceTitan (or similar service-industry platforms).

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

High integrity, professionalism, and ownership in reporting skills; Power BI or dashboard experience is a plus.

Prior experience in a service or construction-related business preferred.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
