Forklift Operator

We pride ourselves on fast, reliable cross-dock operations, and we are currently seeking an experienced, safety-minded Forklift Operator to join our team for our afternoon shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM).

In this role, you will be on the front lines of our cross-dock terminal, responsible for safely and efficiently unloading, staging, and loading palletized freight. Responsibilities

• Cross-Dock Operations: Safely load and unload general freight and LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) shipments from commercial trailers using a sit-down forklift.

• Freight Management: Efficiently stage, organize, and move pallets across the shipping dock to ensure trailers are ready for morning dispatches.

• Manifest & Label Checking: Verify pallet counts, inspect bills of lading (BOLs), check for visual freight damage, and ensure proper routing labels match destination trailers.

• Trailer Securing: Properly block, brace, and secure cargo within trailers to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

• Safety First: Adhere strictly to all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and speed limits on the dock. Perform pre-shift forklift maintenance inspections.

• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating a forklift (sit-down forklift experience in a trucking terminal or high-volume cross-dock environment is highly preferred).

• Certification: Valid Forklift Certification required (or equivalent verifiable experience).
