Overview
JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a technically skilled Product Analyst or technical business analyst to join the Credit Card Platform Services Technology team within Consumer & Community Banking (CCB). This is a critical role in the delivery and evolution of the bank's credit card technology platforms. The ideal candidate will have a development background, with strong technical depth and the ability to analyze, test, and support backend system functionalities-not just UX/UI.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, and product management teams to define platform product requirements for credit card processing and servicing systems.
- Gather, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements for platform enhancements and integrations.
- Use your development background to collaborate effectively with engineering teams to validate technical feasibility and ensure accurate implementation.
- Analyze backend data and system behavior using tools such as SQL, Postman, and internal monitoring systems.
- Partner with testing teams to define use cases, validate test strategies, and troubleshoot production and pre-production issues.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and stakeholder meetings to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Collaborate with business units, including risk, marketing, servicing, and compliance to align the credit card platform with enterprise requirements.
- Help prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer impact, technical value, and strategic importance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technology roles, with at least 2+ years as a Product Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in financial services.
- Former experience as a developer is essential-should be comfortable discussing APIs, services, data structures, and platform logic.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques.
- Experience working with credit card processing platforms or core banking systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of microservices and modern API architecture.
- Experience in platform migration, integration, or transformation projects within banking or credit services.
- Exposure to credit card lifecycle including origination, servicing, rewards, fraud, and collections.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for business stakeholders.
