Description & Requirements

Who we are:

We are the engineering team behind the world's largest over-the-counter (OTC) electronic trading (ET) platform encompassing Fixed Income bonds, ETFs, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), and Credit Default Swaps (CDS). We offer end-to-end trading workflows including price discovery, real-time analytics/pricing, execution, allocation, and straight-through processing (STP), all fully integrated with the Bloomberg Terminal and enterprise solutions.

Our platforms have been at the heart of recent market structure changes, driven by trade automation, portfolio trading, ETFs and regulation. Some of the biggest money managers in the world rely on our platform to manage and execute their portfolios. These clients are actively looking to reduce costs by switching to more automated and efficient ways of trading, and regulators are pushing for more transparency and systemic controls to prevent another financial crisis. This is an exciting time for us as we embark on projects that cater to these needs and leave a lasting impact on financial trading markets.

Be a Part of Something Big

Stability, availability, low-latency and flexibility are important elements of a successful trading platform, and we strive to build software with these principles in mind. As a senior software engineer on Fixed Income Liquidity, you'll join a full-stack, UI-focused engineering team that's reimagining how clients interact with Bloomberg's Electronic Trading products. Our mission is to deliver cohesive, flexible, and performant workflows that adapt as client needs evolve.

What's in it for you:

  • An opportunity to work on a complete tech stack to deliver client facing products

  • Using industry standard technologies to build high performance systems

  • Work in a highly collaborative environment where teamwork is the key to success

  • An opportunity to learn how the financial markets operate by working closely with product managers and clients

You'll need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience working on the front end building intuitive UIs with TypeScript/Javascript.

  • A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment using agile methodologies

  • An understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms, as well as CI, CD and unit testing

  • A strong sense of ownership and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to drive projects and initiatives.

  • An open mind to new technologies and practices

We'd Love to See:

  • Experience building user-facing trading or financial applications

  • Experience with React or other modern frontend frameworks

  • Experience contributing to shared platforms, component libraries, or workflow-driven systems

  • Good understanding of Test Driven Development

  • Experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders and evolving requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

If this sounds like you:

Apply if you think we're a good match! We'll get in touch with you to let you know what the next steps are.
