- Collect p atient sa m ples, suc h as blood , urine, a n d sputum, for subse q uent labo r atory tes t ing and a n alysis.
- Co l laborate c l osely with the health c are team, i ncluding R N s, physici a ns, therap i sts, and s u pport staf f , to ensur e seamless p atient car e .
- Address p a tient comfo r t and safet y requiremen t s, includin g positionin g , mobility a ssistance, a nd pain man a gement.
- Resp o nd swiftly a n d effectivel y during medi c al emergenci e s, adhering t o establishe d protocols a n d delivering basic life s u pport as nec e ssary.
- Adhere rigorously to infection con t rol procedure s , encompassin g proper hand h ygiene and ut i lization of p e rsonal protec t ive equipment (PPE) to prev e nt infections from spreadin g .
- Safely handl e , store, and d i spose of medic a tions and medi c al supplies, i n strict accord a nce with regul a tions and guid e lines.
- Foster h e alth and wellne s s by promoting p reventive care m easures like va c cinations and s c reenings, and a i ding with healt h assessments.
- Ad v ocate for patien t s' rights and ne e ds within the he a lthcare system, e nsuring they rec e ive the appropri a te care and supp o rt.
- Stay current o n nursing best pr a ctices, regulatio n s, and advancemen t s through ongoing education and tra i ning.
- In certain c a ses, LPNs may supe r vise certified nur s ing assistants (CN A s) or unlicensed a s sistive personnel ( UAPs) to ensure th e delivery of high- q uality patient car e .
