Manager, Brand Value Chain Finance, Gross Margin

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance-Gross Margin Management, this position will lead the end-to-end Strategic Costing Process for the Fragrance Brands, providing Gross Margin analytics to senior leadership for Darphin, Lab Series, Fred Malle, & By Kilian brands. This position will oversee the design, collection, maintenance, and dissemination of COGS / Units / Gross Revenue data across the value chain and will be responsible for building and maintaining tools / dashboards supporting this initiative on behalf of the Brands and the Strategic Finance team. The role will also assist with ad-hoc special projects across the Fragrance category.

-Lead the NPL / Gross Margin Management process for the DA/LS/FM/KN brands. Liaise with brand management, Global Marketing and the brands' cross functional teams to track new product innovation and ensure strategic profitability objectives are met.

-Lead & Present Total Brand Gross Margin analytics to senior leaders across the Fragrance brands (Brand President along with leads from Marketing, Finance, Brand Value Chain), driving accretive pipeline to deliver margin improvements to bottom line.

-Drive collaboration with the Global Marketing teams in the brand to develop accurate cost estimates for new product launches including sets and limited life offerings, with focus on improving the accuracy and timing of cost estimates with real-time Gross Margin impact & analytics.

-Provide early gross margin impact analyses on new products at a regional and global level and prior to any purchase commitments being made. Work closely with Global Marketing to improve profitability on products that don't meet corporation and brand targets.

-Perform Strategic Planning and "What if Scenarios" involving current/future year COG impacts of new product scenarios.

-Provide meaningful inputs in support of return-on-investment (ROI) modeling for new launches in coordination with brand FP&A, Global Business Planning and Global Marketing.

-Act as business partner to the brands and corporate teams by performing various special projects and analytics to provide insights that spur effective decision-making, on an ongoing basis.

-Use Tableau & Power BI to build presentations and create dashboards at the category and subcategory levels showing pertinent data inclusive of COGS/Sales/Units.

-Support the SKU Profitability Analysis process for Fragrance brands, enabling strategic portfolio management by looking at individual SKU Performance and identifying areas of opportunity to improve profitability

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree - Finance / Accounting / Business

High proficiency in Excel, Power BI , Tableau
