Duties Description Manhattan Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Social Work Supervisor 1 LCSW to supervise social work staff and plan, develop, implement, and evaluate social work programs and services. Candidates within State Service can apply.As a Social Work Supervisor 1 LCSW, your duties will include:- Supervising social work staff- Diagnosing mental, emotional, behavioral disorders-Administering and interpreting tests and measures of psychosocial functioning- Developing and implementing assessment-based treatment plans- Providing psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic treatment- Completing required records and documentation

Minimum Qualifications Candidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Social Work Supervisor 1 LCSW eligible list.OREmployees appointed to a non-competitive position via the NY HELPS program to a qualifying title in the non-competitive class will have their names restricted from appointment from the eligible list until their position is covered-in to the competitive class by action of the New York State Civil Service Commission or otherwise obtain permanent competitive status in the position.If you have received a permanent appointment to a qualifying title listed and served provisionally in that title immediately preceding your permanent appointment, such provisional service may be counted towards meeting the one year time in title required for appointment from the eligible list.
