From first concept to finished tooling, you bring ideas to life. You choose the right material, plan the setup, and execute flawlessly across CNC and manual platforms. You think in tolerances, communicate in blueprints, and move with the rhythm of a well-run shop.

Your Impact

• Own setups and operation on CNC mills/lathes and manual mills/lathes; utilize drill presses, grinders, sanders, and other support equipment.
• Work safely and independently; follow lockout/tagout procedures without compromise.
• Apply 5S and lean methods to maintain order and flow.
• Translate sketches, prints, and verbal input into precise parts and tooling; select optimal materials, tools, and workholding.
• Use advanced and specialized machine tool variants to achieve design intent.
• Verify every feature: calculate dimensions/tolerances with shop math and metrology (micrometers, depth mics, ID/OD gauges).
• Keep equipment running right; monitor indicators and troubleshoot proactively.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to improve safety, cost, and throughput; suggest better approaches to part and tooling fabrication.
• Order raw materials via the ERP system; perform additional duties as needed.

What You Bring

• 1 years machining experience required; job shop and CNC experience are advantages. Formal schooling preferred.
• AAS in an engineering discipline preferred (not required).
• Hands-on teammate with initiative, integrity, and strong work ethic.
• Clear communicator with solid math; proficient in MS Office and comfortable with CAD/CAM.
• Expert at reading blueprints/sketches and holding tight tolerances.
• Knowledge of speeds/feeds, tooling technology, and LOTO requirements.

Physical & Visual

• Close vision for inspection and instrument reading.
• Ability to lift/pull/push up to 50 lbs for setup/teardown.
• Stand 810 hours; frequent bending and reaching during setups and measurement checks.

• CNC Mill (34 axis VMC) (Bridgeport)
• CNC Lathe (24 axis)
• CAD/CAM Software; CNC Tooling; Manual Machining Skills
