Position Overview:
Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking an experienced and organized Medical Office Manager to fill an opening with a multi-specialty healthcare facility located in Brooklyn, New York. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage administrative staff to create a seamless and efficient patient care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the multi-specialty facility, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality service delivery.
- Supervise and support administrative staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and team development.
- Manage patient scheduling systems to optimize appointment availability and minimize wait times.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including patient privacy laws (HIPAA), OSHA standards, and other applicable requirements.
- Oversee insurance billing, coding, and revenue cycle management to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain proficiency with EHR/EMR systems, troubleshooting issues and coordinating with IT as needed.
- Prepare and manage office budgets, supply inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Address patient concerns and resolve operational issues to maintain a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Certified Medical Manager (CMM) or Certified Healthcare Administrative Professional (CHAP) are preferred but not required.
- Experience: Must have paid experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility in a healthcare setting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and patient scheduling platforms.
- Knowledge of insurance billing and coding processes.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and staff management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance, including patient privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA).
