• Employment Type: Travel LPN (Locum Tenens)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/4/2025 – End: 2/3/2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: White or Navy top, Navy bottom
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1210–$1240

LPN Qualifications – New York Nursing Jobs

• Active New York LPN license required
• At least 1 year of recent hospital experience (within the last 2 years)
• Previous travel LPN experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to independently manage patient assignments with RN support
• Willingness to float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

LPN Responsibilities – Medical Surgical Nursing

• Deliver direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as COPD exacerbation, infections, failure to thrive, and social issues
• Perform clinical support tasks: blood glucose monitoring, telemetry monitoring, 12-lead EKG, feeding tube care, Foley catheter insertion, wound care, and simple dressing changes
• Administer medications (oral, IM, SQ, antihypertensives, antidepressants, antianxiety medications)
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake and output, and pain assessments
• Implement isolation precautions and pressure ulcer prevention protocols
• Communicate patient status changes promptly to RN or MD
• Float to additional Med/Surg units as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy
