Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: New York state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Traveler experience is preferred; unit does not accept first-time travelers. Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility. Skills required include: - General Emergency Department experience with combined adult and pediatric care - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Blood product administration - Phlebotomy - Starting and maintaining IVs - Administration of IV vasopressors - Procedural sedation administration - Care of ventilated patients - Management of BiPAP/CPAP - Isolation precautions and PPE - Triage Description: This role entails working from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Ratios are 1:3 for all shifts. The facility has a daily census of approximately 40 patients and a total of 10 beds. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy. Candidates must float between units as needed. Candidates should have experience with the Epic charting system. All qualifications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Preferred skills include trauma and ortho trauma experience.
