About the job:
Efficiently manage a Latam credit portfolio and meet or exceed predetermined USD budget expectations.
Develop and maintain relationships with the Latam credit investor base across geographies.
Foster internal communication within the bank’s teams and spread knowledge of the product.
Monitor the desk’s activity and its proper flow through the bank’s systems. Work with support teams in developing internal accounting, trade analysis and management tools for the desk.
Responsibilities
Manage positions, risks, and P&L in Latam credit portfolios using bonds, Treasuries, and futures while simultaneously making markets by providing liquidity to clients, trading within authorized limits, and meeting or exceeding predetermined USD budget expectations. Generate and grow relationships with the Latam credit investor base across geographies and actively attempt to match buy and sell orders in cooperation with salespeople. Participate and encourage internal communication within the bank’s teams and spread knowledge of the product by constantly maintaining salespeople informed with pertinent market information, analysis, and guidance on potential trade opportunities. Ensure proper flow, correct, and timely entry of trades into the bank’s systems while maintaining constant communication and engaging corresponding support teams in resolving any and all issues that may arise, from trade amendments and cancellations to settlement problems. Work with various support teams including eCommerce, Algorithmic Strategies and Data Science developers, ANS Fixed Income (ION), and IT in developing technological advancements for the desk, including internal accounting, trade analysis, and management tools. Abide by all US regulatory requirements (FINRA and others)
Enhance capability of the desk’s trading system in order to provide valuable market and past activity insight that traders can use to trade on.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or Physical Sciences and a minimum of around five (5) years of experience within credit trading business, trader or desk analyst. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement
Excellent knowledge of eCommerce platforms and their connectivities.
Strong familiarity with the macro situation worldwide
Strong understanding of corporate credit risk including the ability to understand in detail companies’ balance sheets and income statements. Very good exposure to all the major economic sectors (industrials, consumer goods, power, energy, TMT, real estate, mining and metals retail and infrastructure)
Strong understanding of bond covenants
Excellent familiarity with all major US and London-based Credit funds that manage US & Europe Latam bond issues in USD
Extensive experience with the US Treasuries market
Proficient in Bloomberg, Excel, Murex and Star
Lic/Cert/Reg
Required: Series 7 and 63

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $150,000 to $185,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
