About the Role:
• We are seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee clinical nursing operations in our residential and outpatient addiction treatment programs.
• This role involves direct patient care, medication oversight, staff supervision, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care for clients. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, pharmacy technicians, and medical assistants, through supervision, coaching, and team meetings.
• Ensure safe and effective medication management in residential and outpatient programs.
• Conduct assessments of new and existing clients, monitor physical health needs, and refer to outside medical care when necessary.
• Initiate and implement client care plans, coordinate medical appointments, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate and thorough client records and documentation.
• Prepare and facilitate medical case conference meetings.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., OASAS, DOH, DEA, Justice Center).
• Develop staff schedules, conduct quality assurance audits, and maintain nursing staff training and skills checklists.
• Participate in on-call Nursing Supervisor schedule and support the medical director as needed.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address client care needs throughout treatment. Required Qualifications:
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in New York State
• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
• At least 2 years of experience working with substance use and dual-diagnosis populations
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and sensitive information
