The Trusts & Estates Team is in search of an experienced Paralegal with a positive, flexible attitude, to assist multiple attorneys. You will thrive in this role if you have significant hands-on experience in New York, New Jersey, or Florida estate administration.

It is important to note, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory. This position requires regular preparation of informal and formal accountings, and estate analysis across multiple matters.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file probate and administration petitions, citations, waivers, and related Surrogate’s Court documents.

Handle NYSCEF e-filing and monitor court deadlines.

Prepare informal and formal fiduciary accountings.

Collect information to analyze estate assets, while keeping your asset sheet updated.

Prepare detailed estate analyses.

Track estate transactions, distributions, and expenses.

Coordinate payment of debts, taxes, and beneficiary distributions.

Communicate professionally with clients, fiduciaries, financial institutions, and court personnel.

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of New York estate administration experience required.

Working knowledge of Surrogate’s Court procedures and e-filing.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory. This position requires regular preparation of informal and formal accountings, transaction tracking, and estate analysis across multiple matters.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.

Self-directed, proactive, and deadline-driven.

Notary Public certification preferred. xrczosw
