Grill Cook

American Beech in Greenport, NY is hiring full-time line cooks and prep cooks for year-round positions. We are a busy, standards-driven kitchen with strong seasonality, but this is not a temporary role — we are looking to build a committed, long-term team.

Our business peaks from late May through mid-October, with July and August being especially high volume. That said, we operate year-round and are looking for cooks who want stability, consistency, and the opportunity to grow within a professional kitchen.

This is a working kitchen. We care deeply about food, execution, and consistency. We expect our cooks to show up ready to work, ready to learn, and ready to support the team. We take pride in maintaining a respectful, professional environment — that means communicating clearly, working clean, and treating your coworkers like professionals.

We are happy to train and teach what we know. But it’s important to be clear: this restaurant runs real volume. You need to stay organized, focused, and composed when things get busy. Even on the hardest days, we keep the attitude positive and push forward together.

Schedule

• Full-time, year-round positions
• Consistent weekly hours
• Heavier volume and overtime opportunities during peak months
• Weekend and holiday availability required

Pay & Perks

• $22–$25/hour, depending on position and experience
