Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable, hands-on, and hospitality-driven Floor Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, has a strong background in front-of-house operations, and can lead by example in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
As Floor Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily service, supporting staff development, ensuring smooth communication between the front and back of house, and upholding the high standards that define the Momoya brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead daily front-of-house service operations
Provide ongoing support, training, and development to FOH team members
Ensure all guests receive exceptional service and hospitality
Manage floor presence during service, resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
Oversee reservation flow, waitlist, and table management
Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain efficient service
Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment
Collaborate with upper management on operational goals and improvements
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of restaurant experience (management or leadership experience preferred)
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
High attention to detail and a commitment to excellent service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and closing shifts
Familiarity with Japanese cuisine and culture is a plus
NYC Food Handler’s Certificate preferred (or willing to obtain)
