Sector Data Analyst
Job Description: Sector Data Analyst positions offered by Citadel Americas Services LLC (New York, New York). Complement the research efforts for the Fundamental Equity teams by leveraging proprietary data and technology infrastructure to derive actionable insights. Build on data strategy by identifying incremental data sources, and implementing systems and processes to capitalize upon them. Assemble structured and unstructured data sources to ensure efficient usability, and repeatability, in the context of research initiatives. Implement a framework to drive unique research insights for investment professionals with specific sector coverage. Create the data design with detailed specs on required resources, research timetable and output, and ongoing maintenance demands. Contribute to scalable data research library platform that can potentially have broader firm application. Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Education, training, or experience must include: Quantitative research using both structured and unstructured data to generate insights and high-quality forecasts; Working with and analyzing large datasets; Cross boundaries of specific data sets to find relationships within different sets of data to solve financial problems; Statistical and economic techniques necessary to provide forecasts and results, including confidence intervals and biases; and Statistical and database querying tools including R, Matlab, Python, or similar. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. We are offering a salary range of $180,000 to $220,000 per year.
