Job Description:

We're looking for a Sr. Product Designer of our new Consolidated Tape Plan. This system consolidates and distributes real-time U.S. equity market data. We are building the operational, technical, and customer-facing infrastructure for the CT Plan from the ground up, with a mandate to make a historically opaque corner of the market data industry feel modern, transparent, and genuinely customer-friendly.

Your job is to take market data business processes and turn them into experiences that are clear, attractive, and easy for customers to navigate. You'll design how every customer interaction with the plan looks and feels, from the public CT Plan website, to the onboarding flows broker-dealers and vendors use to license data, to the dashboards licensees use to manage their accounts, to the contracts and notifications they receive.

This is a high-trust, high-ownership role. You will work directly with leadership to translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into experiences that feel simple, respectful of the customer's time, and unmistakably professional.

What you'll do

• Design the public-facing CT Plan website, including content architecture, visual refinement, and ongoing iteration.
• Design end-to-end customer journeys — onboarding, license requests, fee schedule selection, usage reporting, renewals, change management.
• Design the screens and workflows of the customer portal where licensees manage their data agreements, entitlements, and reporting obligations.
• Design contracts, fee schedules, statements, invoices, and other formal documents so that they are clear, navigable, and visually consistent with the brand.
• Design communications (email, in-app, transactional notifications) that customers receive across the lifecycle.
• Partner with engineering on implementation; partner with operations and legal on content and compliance accuracy

What we're looking for

• 6 years designing customer-facing B2B products, ideally in financial services, regulated industries, or complex operational SaaS.
• Strong portfolio showing both product UI (dashboards, workflows, forms-heavy applications) and marketing/brand-adjacent surfaces.
• Fluency in Figma and modern design system practice; comfortable producing production-ready specs.
• Demonstrated ability to make dense, technical, or regulatory content feel approachable.
• Self-directed; able to operate as the sole designer in a fast-moving, founding-team environment.
• Excellent written communication — you will frequently shape copy as well as layout.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with market data, exchange operations, or financial market infrastructure.
• Experience designing legal or contractual documents as part of a product experience.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma AI, v0, Cursor, Claude, or similar) for accelerating ideation, prototyping, and production.
• Light front-end skills (HTML/CSS, basic React) for prototyping or implementation review.
