Joo Ok is a contemporary Korean fine dining restaurant, which received 1 Michelin star in 2024. Led by Chef Shin Chang Ho, highly decorated and recognized for his commitment to hansik [Korean Cuisine]. Joo Ok is relocating from Seoul, Korea to NYC’s Koreatown, opening this spring.

Host is responsible for greeting guests and rearranging, confirming reservations. Maintaining clear communications with guests and the team
Qualifications:
- At least 1+ years experience in a reputable, well-regarded restaurant
- Strong communication skills
- Team-oriented and positive attitude
- Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time
- Must be able to remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain professional demeanor
- Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiatic and graceful attitude
- Attend daily pre-shift meetings
- Assist guest with their reservations
- Confirming allergens, and/or any celebrations
- Navigating guests to our dining room or the bar
- Clear communications with FOH and BOH
