Job Description And Duties

Under general direction of the Chief Deputy Warden (CDW), Warden, the C&PR plans, organizes and directs the institution’s Incarcerated Person Classification Program. The C&PR ensures adherence to departmental classification and treatment policies, procedures and goals for the program and integrates classification activities of other programs of the Institution. C&PR also acts as a liaison between the Institution and the Parole & Community Services Division (P&CSD), Board of Parole Hearings (BPH) and Classification Services Unit (CSU). The C&PR interprets the classification program of other staff, agencies and the public; supervises the preparation of hearings calendars and official recording of BPH and serves as a member of the classification and disciplinary committees.

Working Conditions

This position is located at the California State Prison in Corcoran CA, which is accessibly located right off Highway 43. Conveniently located one hour from Lemoore Naval Air Station and Sequoias National Park. Two hours from Yosemite National Park and Pismo Beach.

Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by departmental annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
