Rome Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to work in our outpatient Substance Use Disorder clinic, Community Recovery Center located at 264 West Dominick St in Rome

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program and Basic Life Support. Supporting Recovery with Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) training, and Narcan trainings required within 3 months of hire. Current New York Registered Nurse license required, BS in nursing preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:
Complete medical assessments on CRC patients; develop recommendations based on individual needs. Facilitate referrals as indicated. Review outside medical information received. Assist providers as necessary with medication injections and other basic medical care tasks. Obtain pre authorization for medication when needed and communicate with pharmacies. Collect urine screen samples/oral swab samples. Provide education and information on risk reduction, counseling and referral services to all patients regarding HIV/AIDS to include pre and post-exposure prophylaxis, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted diseases and other communicable diseases. Communicate and participate effectively in a treatment team setting.

This position is a Per Diem position. Typical days/hours include T, W, F 8 am to 4 pm and Thursdays 12 pm to 8 pm.

Candidate must have a valid and current New York Registered Nurse license. Minimum of 2 years' experience in Behavioral Health is preferred
