Join the legacy of a pioneering winery in the cool-climate Finger Lakes region. Established in 1977, Heron Hill Winery has been a leader in sustainable viticulture and quality winemaking for nearly five decades. Our estate vineyards on Keuka Lake and Ingle Vineyard include some of the oldest Riesling, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Franc plantings in the region. We craft an array of wines—from crisp, expressive Rieslings to unique varietals like Grüner Veltliner, Blaufränkisch, and our signature Eclipse blends—making us one of the most versatile and dynamic wineries in the Finger Lakes.

Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated and experienced Harvest Interns to join our 2026 vintage team. This is a hands-on, immersive role that offers the opportunity to work across all stages of the winemaking process in a winery known for its balance of tradition, innovation, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct ripeness analysis of grape samples
Assist with fruit processing: sorting, crushing, pressing
Monitor fermentations (Brix, temperature)
Perform cleaning and sanitization of equipment and tanks
Carry out additions, racking, and other cellar operations
Maintain accurate records and assist with lab analysis
Participate in occasional vineyard work as needed

Requirements:
Previous harvest or cellar experience is preferred, but not required
A degree (or pursuit of a degree) in Viticulture, Enology, or a related field is preferred
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols
Reliable and dependable
Comfortable lifting 50 lbs and working long, physically demanding hours, including nights and weekends
Must be at least 21 and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Valid driver’s license preferred
Must have a positive attitude and team mindset

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 – 60 per week
