Key Responsibilities of the RN - OR Operating Room
- Perform phlebotomy and IV placements
- Assist in various surgical procedures including bariatric, ENT, and orthopedic surgeries
- Ensure adherence to infection control and universal protocols
- Handle and label specimens accurately
- Maintain safety standards, including laser and radiation safety
- Respond effectively to codes and emergencies
Requirements of the RN - OR Operating Room
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience
- Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
- NY state license in hand
