Front of house

Darling Doughnuts on Broadway in Saratoga Springs has an opening for a part-time, front-of-house person with weekend availability—both Saturdays and Sundays—plus one weekday (Wed, Thu or Fri). Please read through to the end of this listing if interested and qualified.

Shifts are typically 5-6 hours long and are between the hours of 7:30am – 6pm.

• Weekend shifts are 5-6 hours during our open hours, 7:30am – 6pm
• Weekday shifts are 11:30am – 5pm (summertime shifts vary)

Duties in addition to serving doughnuts and running register also include:

• Making and serving drinks—coffees, teas, lattes, etc.
• Setting up the front of house in the morning
• Keeping FOH clean, organized and supplies stocked
• Closing up and cleaning up at the end of day

We're looking for someone friendly and pleasant—even when extremely busy—who's able to follow procedures, can resist the urge to be on their mobile phone during their shift, and gets their tasks done without having to be micro-managed. The shop is busy, especially on weekends, so you'll be expected to hustle and keep cool at the same time.

Some food- or beverage-service experience is helpful, but lack of it is not necessarily a deal breaker for the right person.

This a regular, long-term position, ideal for someone for whom 2-3 shifts a week works well with their schedule.

Pay is $16/hr base plus tips.
