Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified CVICU Nurse to join our dedicated team in a premier healthcare facility. This position requires Epic experience and a solid foundation in critical care nursing, particularly in the management of postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of staff CVICU experience , demonstrating competency with high-acuity patients and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Efficiently manage advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, arterial lines, spinal drains, hemodynamic monitoring devices, ECG monitors, temporary pacemakers, and vasoactive/inotropic drip titrations.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and interpret clinical data to guide patient care decisions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and ensure compliance with facility protocols.

Required Skill Set:

• Expertise in caring for high-acuity patients with advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
• Proficient in the use of various medical technologies and equipment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current nursing license (pending state license candidates will be considered).
• Previous experience in a Trauma Level One facility is highly desirable.
• Competency test completion required within 24 hours of submission.

Work Schedule:

• Evening shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Please note: The position may require floating to other units based on staffing needs.

• Scrub colors: Navy blue scrubs required.
