Job Title: X-Ray Technician

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)

Shift: Day Shift (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)

Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards while delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images
• Prepare and position patients for radiological procedures
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Adjust imaging equipment and exposure settings for optimal results
• Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff
• Maintain compliance with infection control policies and procedures
• Review and evaluate radiographic images for quality and accuracy
• Document patient care and imaging procedures accurately in medical records
• Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance/repairs as needed
• Maintain inventory of radiology supplies and ensure adequate stock levels
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License
• BLS certification (preferred)

Required Skills & Experience

• No prior experience required (new graduates welcome)
• Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care
• Dependable with strong organizational and time management skills
