The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) VISTA program works to place and support AmeriCorps VISTAs at New York nonprofit organizations, for the purpose of building organizational capacity to provide low-income immigrant communities with diverse anti-poverty services.
Member Duties : VISTA PLACEMENT: New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC), MISSION: The New York Immigration Coalition, a state-wide member-led coalition of immigrant and refugee organizations, works to transform the lives of all New Yorkers by strengthening and building our members’ power, organizing and educating our communities and the public, and using our collective voice to advocate for opportunity and justice. VISTA ACTIVITIES: The Training Team at NYIC is seeking an AmeriCorps VISTA to develop data tracking systems to monitor and preserve legal service capacity in New York State. VISTA duties include developing evaluation and data tracking systems, engaging in partner outreach, and managing Salesforce and Form Assembly data analysis. SERVICE LOCATION: 131 W 33rd St, 6th Fl, New York, NY 10001. LIVING ALLOWANCE: $32,262
