Title And Summary Director, AI & Data Strategy Overview The AI and Data Strategy organization (Chief Data Office) is responsible for the strategy, acquisition, evaluation, and responsible use of all types of data and data capabilities that can be utilized for innovation by a wide range of Mastercard product and consulting teams. The Director, AI & Data Strategy Lead, will have responsibility for understanding the data and AI landscape, supporting data and AI needs and enabling the development of appropriate data and AI strategies. This role provides a unique opportunity to work across the different business verticals globally, understanding how data and AI are used in different products and solutions. It requires an individual who understands data and data-related AI, can network and collaborate across business teams and can help communicate detailed concepts to various business and technical teams. Facilitate AI and Data Design thinking engagements/workshops that produce AI and Data Strategy frameworks and recommendations. Provide thought leadership across the AI and Data ecosystem that enables innovation and commercialization of customer solutions. Work with the Global Business units to support data and AI design methodology and requirements for new products and services. Help enable product teams by supporting the AI Intake process, documenting data briefs, data flows, and data material as required by the product management process. Collaborate with legal, privacy and regulatory teams to review data and AI assets and proposed use cases of data and AI to ensure alignment with policies and procedures. Educate Business Units on availability of internal and third-party data to support product development efforts that leverage that data, ensuring data and AI standards and practices are adhered to. Become an expert to the rest of the organization on Mastercard data and AI capabilities and assets to enable other business units to leverage those capabilities and assets to the extent practical and allowed under relevant laws and licenses. All About You Experience working with AI and data-related products, either in acquisition, development, governance, or evaluation. Demonstrate a forward-thinking mindset, bringing creativity and innovation to how data and AI are leveraged to solve problems, unlock value, and drive impact. Ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders regarding the value of data and AI; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present detailed concepts in a clear and concise manner. Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building and partnering. Must work well in both team and individual settings and must be able to work with a geographically dispersed team Motivated self-starter with ability to excel at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working under your own initiative. AI and Data management experience in the payments industry preferred.
