Matrimonial Attorney - NYC (Hybrid; Non-Public Search)
We have been retained by a high-end, well-established, full-service, mid-sized law firm in midtown Manhattan (four days expected in the office per week), which seeks to hire a matrimonial attorney. The group handles a sophisticated mix of high-net-worth matrimonial matters, including litigation (fifty percent or less), mediation, and the drafting of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
· Handle high-net-worth matrimonial and family law matters
· Participate in litigation, including motion practice and court appearances, as needed
· Draft and negotiate prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
· Assist with mediation and negotiated resolutions
· Produce high-quality written work, including pleadings, agreements, and legal analysis
What the Firm Seeks
· Approximately 2 to 15 or more years of matrimonial/family law experience
· Strong academic background
· Excellent legal writing skills
· Four days a week in the office
· New York bar admission required
What the Firm Offers
· Base salary of $150,000 to $275,000 or higher, depending on experience, plus a discretionary bonus
· Annual hours are typically around 1,800
· Sophisticated, high-end matrimonial work within a respected family law group
