MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Full Stack Java Engineer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our NYS customer. You will play a crucial role as you join our team in partnership with New York State of Health (NYSoH) to provide comprehensive health coverage to more than 7.0 million New Yorkers through its Health Benefit Exchange (HBE)
- You'll join our talented Development Team. Our project is built on a multi-tier architecture including Service Oriented architecture, multi-tier web applications using Java and various other COTS products.
- Build and maintain highly complex, high-volume, large scale, scalable, maintainable and extensible software on a Java/J2EE application stack using full software development life-cycle (SDLC) methodology from concept, design, and documentation to testing, ensuring specification compliancy and adhering to coding standard
- Analyzes user/business needs and functionality to plan and assign with the design of software systems to meet those needs
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years' experience in software development with an understanding of Core Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, ORM Tools, Java Build tools, Junit testing, and Web Services. Relational Database, and SQL
- 1 year of large-scale application experience
- Healthcare, Medicaid or Health Exchange experience preferred
- Ability to write simple and complex SQL Queries, preferably with DB2 SQL syntax including PL/SQL.
- Good analytical and multitasking skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; Critical thinking and creative problem solving

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
