Since our founding, Guardian Veterinary has grown to include locations in Middletown, NY, for ER Services, overnight and weekends/holidays as well as a General Practice in the Bronx, NY. Guardian Veterinary Emergency, Orange County is an independently owned, full-service overnight/weekend & holiday 24/7 emergency and specialty care veterinary hospital in Middletown, New York. Our entire team is dedicated to providing the very best and most progressive care to all of our patients, and courteous service to our clients and primary care veterinary partners. We have immediate openings for overnight Veterinary Assistants. The available schedules are 13-hour overnight/weekend & holiday shifts.

Veterinary Assistants at Guardian Veterinary Emergency are the crucial support to our veterinary technicians and veterinarian’s. They work with the team and for the team aiding in our success for our client’s.

Guardian Veterinary is looking for someone that emits positive energy, conveys clear and concise messages in a friendly way, can think on one’s feet, embodies the ability to be a calming force in a chaotic time, aptitude to follow the ebb and flow of the day and change course as necessary, while staying within the guidelines and demonstrates exceptional judgement.

Must have their own reliable transportation.

Compensation is commensurate to experience, $18 to $20 per hour.
Location is in Middletown, NY.

Qualified applicants for this role:

• Love of animals and a passion to help and heal, first and foremost.
• The desire to continually learn and grow.
• 2 years’ experience in a veterinary hospital/clinic working as an assistant.
• 1 year experience in a veterinary hospital/clinic AND completion from a Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Science program.
