Mailroom Assistant

Description We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Mailroom Assistant to join our team in White Plains, New York. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity designed for someone who excels in organizational tasks and enjoys interacting with staff in a detail-oriented environment. The role involves handling mailroom operations and supporting other office functions to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities: - Organize and distribute incoming mail and packages within the office in a timely manner. - Prepare outgoing mail by creating labels and packaging items appropriately. - Assist with reception desk coverage during lunch breaks, greeting visitors and handling inquiries. - Restock supplies for office equipment such as copiers, printers, and other machines. - Familiarize yourself with the staff and organization to effectively manage mail distribution. - Perform morning mail drop-offs and pickups at designated locations, utilizing the company vehicle. - Visit the post office for sending mail and dropping off checks as required. - Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor to foster positive interactions with colleagues. - Ensure all mailroom processes are carried out efficiently and accurately. Requirements - Previous experience in mailroom operations or a similar role is preferred. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. - Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable attitude. - Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. - Familiarity with basic office equipment and supplies. - Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities. - Commitment to providing thorough and efficient support to the team.
