Position Overview
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager - Permitting to join our Project Delivery team. In this role, you'll collaborate with a team of project managers and drive successful execution of high-profile and complex permitting projects in the DC, MD, and VA region. You'll work closely with clients, municipal agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless, on-time project delivery while advancing best-in-class service standards.
What You'll Do

Manage the full lifecycle of permit-related projects-from initial filing to certificate of occupancy or completion.

Coordinate and communicate with clients, plans examiners, and internal teams.

Serve as the central point of contact on assigned projects, ensuring status updates and alignment with client expectations.

Oversee deliverables including entitlements, timelines, and risk tracking.
Resolve project challenges with professionalism and urgency.

Ensure compliance with internal procedures and project quality standards.

Prepare reports, documentation, and milestone updates for leadership and clients.

Contribute to productivity goals and continuous improvement efforts.

Serve as a mentor for other project team members.

Skills and Requirements
-
3+ years of experience in permitting and / or entitlements in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.

Strong project leadership, client communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proven experience collaborating with internal and external project teams, with the ability to motivate, delegate, and drive accountability across multiple priorities.

Ability to work on complex projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools. Preferred:

Knowledge of permitting workflows, municipal codes, and development processes.

Experience with multi-state or national rollouts in retail, hospitality, or commercial sectors.
